[BEAUTY] NOTD ~ Berry Feeling

Hello lovelies! How you all doing?! I’m so enjoying posting everyday, I wonder if you guys like it too?

For today’s post I’ve got another nails of the day post! I love doing these posts as it’s kind of like a diary of what’s on my nails, I seem to show you everything on my nails! I’m painting them today too… Think glitter and sparkle!

As for these nails, they are slightly autumn looking as they are berry coloured! I love berry shades and I seem to have a ton of purple colours in my collection. This particular shade is one from MUA, and each of their nail polishes are only a £1, which is brilliant because even though it’s small it went on smoothly, the colour is gorgeous and it didn’t chip after 4-5 days! Also, they look strangely like essie nail polishes, right guys?

I’ll definitely be buying more from this range, what do you think about purple nail polishes? Have you tried out MUA or Essie’s nail polishes before?

[BEAUTY] Feeling Festive ~ NOTD

Hello lovelies! I hope you’re all well 🙂

I’ve just had a 4 day weekend which consisted of some hectic Black Friday shopping (and spending all my money), a relaxing night away and a good catch up with a friend along with trying out some Dutch Christmas traditions. Very fun! Now it’s December, and Christmas is literally right round the corner so let the excitement begin! I can’t wait to buy a Christmas tree and eat away my own body weight in cake 😉

Anyway, to kick start the season, I thought I’d show you what I wore this weekend on my nails…

I constantly find myself wearing matte black nails, but sometimes that gets a little boring, so I decided to put a festive twist on the classic black. I used a silver glitter top coat to add a little sparkle and glam, I really think it worked! Due to the different sized glitter particles, it kind of looks like the night sky with lots of stars. I like it, feels very magical!

As always the nail polish is Barry M Black with Silver Topaz on the top. I really need to find another brilliant and affordable nail polish brand…. Any recommendations?

So guys, that’s my nails! Let the countdown to Christmas begin…

I have some Christmas post ideas… I’m thinking a budget gift guide, a couple recipes & DIY’s, as well as some make up looks, tags and a wishlist, if you’d be interested? I know almost every blog around Christmas time is all very festive, and it can get a little too much! If you have any post ideas/requests leave them down below!

[BEAUTY] AUTUMN NOTD

Holaa lovelies!

I’m so cold right now hehe, I think Winter is approaching!! How are you all?

For today’s post I am back with another NOTD, I know I know, I post so many of these but you all know I’m an addict and I just have to show you which ones I choose! *WARNING – Yes it does include Barry M, I promise I’m not sponsored to do these posts, but I did win their Autumn/Winter Gelly range*

Let’s get on with the post!

This colour is called ‘Chilli’ and at first I wasn’t too keen on it, but now I’m in love because it’s the most gorgeous fiery red. It reminds of the autumn leaves once they’ve been on the ground for a while. Basically Autumn in a bottle. As always with Barry M, it applies smoothly and dries quickly, and this one in particular dried SO GLOSSY. Honestly, the glossiness was unreal and I made sure everyone stroked my nails to feel them… They actually looked like gel nails, pretty decent if I do say so myself.

What’s your favourite nail colour for Autumn? Are you a nail polish addict like me?

[BEAUTY] NOTD- Vintage Violet

Hello lovelies! Happy Tuesday 🙂

Now I’m not sure what you think, but I’m pretty sure Winter is officially here, which is sad because I love autumn! However it doesn’t mean my make up should change just yet… So today I have a post showing you a colour I recently bought and fell in love with, which fits perfectly for that transition into Winter!

Vintage Violet is a gorgeous grey toned purple, I can’t even describe how unique the colour is and the picture definitely does not do it justice. But if you’re looking for that perfect purple that suits any skin tone and a colour you’ve never seen before, look no further than Barry M’s Vintage Violet.

Like all Barry M nail polishes, it applies smoothly and dries within a few minutes. It’s incredibly shiny for a non-gel polish and doesn’t chip for days. Plus, you can’t beat the £2.99 price tag!

That’s pretty much everything I look for in a nail polish, so for that price I definitely won’t be complaining.

What do you think about this gorgeous colour? What’s your favourite season?

[BEAUTY] Autumn NOTD & Where Have I Been?!

Hey guys!

It’s me, Kavi! Hehe 🙂 Long time, no see, right? I have missed blogging quite a bit but I think sometimes we all need a break from the things we love so we can truly appreciate it. I feel like I am talking about people, haha – but I’m not!

Sometimes life gets caught up on us, and other things take priority. Going back to school was super hard because everything is 10 times harder and I have so much more work to do.School this year is generally a big step for me, and although I’m enjoying it, it can get difficult to manage my time.

Once I get into the schedule of school again, I’ll be able to have set days for blogging, but only time will tell. I really don’t want to put blogging to the sidetracks but I’m sure you all understand how important education is!

I really want to thank all my followers for understanding and supporting me all the time, I know your not standing next to me but I always feel like I know you and could talk to you for hours because you’re all so lovely 🙂

It’s kind of weird writing this right now, I feel like I’ve made tons of mistakes and don’t make any sense, but I really felt that I had to address where I have been.

Anyway, onto the post!

I recently won some nail polishes from Superdrug, and in the post were 6 gorgeous autumnal shades by the one and only, Barry M! The new range is part of the Gelly Nail range, which you all know I adore.

I wouldn’t officially call it Autumn yet, because we have had some really random hot days here in the UK, so I’d say it’s that weird transitional stage from Summer to Autumn, where all the shops are a bit confused and everything is a bit all over the place!

notd

This particular shade is absolutely perfect for the transition. It’s a gorgeous deep green with slight grey undertones, a colour super unique and one completely different to the rest in my collection. Even though I’m a nail polish addict, I’ve never actually owned a green believe it or not, and this glossy colour Cardamom is just right for me. Priced at £3.99, it’s not going to make much of a difference to your purse so why not give it a go? It dries super fast, looks incredibly glossy without topcoat and barely chips. That’s practically everything I look for in a nail polish.

Have you got any greens in your nail polish collection? Who else is super excited for Fall/Autumn and lots of hot chocolate?

Thanks for reading! I hope things will be back to normal soon 🙂

Love,

Kavi xox

P.S. I want to do a Q&A so ask me questions and help me think of a # for it!

[BEAUTY] Summer Nails Of The Day #4 – Matte Red

Hello lovelies! I hope you’re all well 🙂

I’ve been loving doing this series on my blog. I have so much nail polish and I love showing you my pick each week, with a mini review too. What’s been you’re favourite NOTD post so far?

As I’m writing this, I am in England, but as you are reading this, I shall be in Spain! I wanted to paint my nails a classic colour that would go with all my holiday outifts, and this is what I picked…

It’s a classic, simple red. It hasn’t got much else to it but it needn’t, red on your nails shows so much character. Classy, chic and feminine. This one is called ‘Double Decker Red‘ and it’s from Rimmels’ I ♥ Lasting Finish range.

IMG_1501

IMG_1502

As much as I love a red manicure, I wanted to up the amp with this one so I added a matte topcoat on from Bourjois. This adds so much more to the nails and gives it a refreshing, summery vibe!

I love this matte topcoat and I couldn’t reccommend getting one enough. It would save you tons of money because you can put it on top of anything. Glitter, gel, black- anything!

I definitely ♥ this manicure (cheeky pun intended), do you like it?

[BEAUTY] Summer Gelly NOTD #2- Barbie Girl

Hey guys!
I hope you’re all well.
I have a week off now, which I’m planning to spend doing absolutely nothing other than eating and watching Teen Wolf! Then, I’m going to Germany for a week with my friends, where we will be practising our German 😉 What are your plans for the upcoming weeks?
So as I am going away and I have a week off, I want my nails painted to make the most of being allowed to have them painted. When I was at my aunties house, I found out that she has a gel manicure kit and she very kindly did my nails for me.
There were so many colours to choose from, but I limited it down to some bright, summery colours as summer is only a matter of days away. Ok, maybe I lied, in the UK summer’s around 1-2 months away but hey ho, that’s soon enough to start preparing!

photo 1 (42)

photo 2 (37)

I eventually chose this gorgeous pink colour, which is quite bright but not neon- it’s just the perfect in between pink to be honest, that goes with absolutely everything. Now I’m not sure what this is called, but I know a nearly exact dupe for this which is Rimmel’s Urban Princess, which I also love. This colour looks lovely on tanned/darker skin tones as it makes your mitts pop. Mind you, I say that about every nail polish… :’D
This pink looks good on all skin tones and I’ve also seen Erin sport a similar colour, which you can see here.
My nails had to be dehydrated and dried out before the gel could be applied, so I don’t think it has done any good for my nails, but they look great so it’s alright! These nails are supposed to last for 2-3 weeks so I hope they will last me.
So far I’m loving having gel nails, they look great and I love how thick and glossy they are. I’ve had them on for nearly two days and been swimming twice and they have no chipped at all yet.
Have you had Gel nails before? Do you like this Barbie like colour?

[BEAUTY] Summer Gelly Nails Of The Day

Hello lovelies! As you’re reading this I will be in Cyprus, and I wanted to show you the manicure and pedicure that I decided to wear for my holiday. As the weather there is super warm (much like our British Summer, when it’s HOT), I thought why not wear a summery colour instead of a spring one.

I’m sure many of you know that I adore Barry M Nail Polish, and this is just another one of them. I own so many, but this colour is just divine, I may even say that it’s in my Top 3 Favourite Nail Polishes.

IMG_0906

IMG_0908

The camera did not pick up how beautiful and vibrant this colour is, it’s sort of like a mermaid colour- a greeny blue shade. It’s so thick and opaque and it only takes two coats to achieve the desired gel look. It really suits my skin tone, however I think bluey green shades make every skin tone pop.

For £3.99 you really can’t go wrong, and this colour is to die for. I really enjoy it on my nails because it makes me feel all summery. I love it so much that I put it on my hands and feet.

They’re my nails of the day, what do you think about this colour?

Thanks so much for reading,

Nails Of The Day: MUA FUR Effects

Image

Hi guys!

Today I was at home because I am ill 😦 As next week is half term, I decided to paint my nails. This perked me up a bit and made me do something other than sit on the sofa all day!

Recently I got the MUA FUR effects thing and I was so excited to try it! It’s basically a little pot of fluff that you dip your nails in to make them texturized and fluffy!

I got mine in Fluff & Cuddles which is a dark pink shade with a hint of purple. The application is quite simple I guess; Paint two coats of polish onto your nails then dip into the fur. Hold your nail in the fur for 20 seconds. Using a kabuki brush, sweep off the excess fluff. Done!

The nail polish I paired it with is an fcuk polish(sorry I’m unsure of the shade!). The colour looks completely different in the bottle than it does on your nails, like all the other fcuk ones I have tried. It takes about three to four coats for it to become opaque, and to be clear of bumps. I really do NOT like this nail polish, and it has already started to chip a little 😦 Yeah, not good. the only thing I like about fcuk nail polishes is the bottle packaging. The colour always looks so pretty, and the mini little bottle is super cute.

Overall, I liked the effect of the MUA Fur, and will be using it many more times! Have you tried out fur on your nails??

That’s all on my NOTD, but here are a few other things:

– It’s half term, which means a few more blog posts(yay!)

– The lovely SantaClauds(aka Claudia) gave me some cute samples to help me with my eczema!

– I was nominated for the Liebster Blog Award! The corresponding post will be up soon!

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post! Please like and follow if you haven’t done so already!

Thank you for reading!

Lots of furry love,
