[BEAUTY] Favourite Nail Polishes // Winter Edit

Hello lovelies! I’m so bad at blogging everyday! I knew I wouldn’t be able to do it but I thought I could prove myself wrong… I’ve missed 4 days so far – not good enough! Anyway, I’ve taken lots of photos and I still have a schedule of posts so fingers crossed today onwards I’ll be back on track!

For today’s post, I’m going to be showing you my favourite nail polishes for Winter and Christmas time. I’ve picked out a good variety – so don’t expect all of them to be Barry M! I’ve got a good variety, so let’s get into the post…

1. Bourjois ‘Rouge Escarpin’ ~ This is of course, a must have for Christmas! Every girl needs a good old red in their nail polish collection – it’s a classic and makes you feel and look very feminine. Not to mention, at this time of year it practically goes with all of your outfits, so that’s a plus! This is an extremely glossy nail polish, and a real true red – light enough to make it not look like blood on your nails!

2. Essie ‘Toggle To The Top’ ~ Again, another red. However this one is completely different. It is a dark, firey red with gorgeous glitter particles through the whole thing. I actually currently have this on my toenails, so my feet don’t look half bad right now. I feel like this particular colour is very unique as I haven’t seen many colours quite like it, and for some reason for me it just calls sass!

2. Barry M ‘Yellow Topaz’ & ‘Silver Topaz’ ~ Of course I couldn’t resist including a little bit of Barry M! These two polishes are stunning cults that every one needs. You can put them on top of any nail colour and it instantly makes them look party ready and completely different. It also looks great used on an accent nail. They’re super cheap at £2.99 each so it really is worth the buy.

3. Essie ‘Parka Perfect’ ~ This is such an usual and special colour, part of Essie’s Winter Nail Collection last year. They are perfect for gifts or for you to just try Essie’s nail polishes out, for a great price also! This one is a grey which looks fabulous on the nails and very chic and classy. To add a bit of festive cheer, it’s got a little shimmer running through it!

4. Rimmel ‘Green With Envy ~ Funny name right?! This colour is super stunning, looks very mermaidy! It would match the Christmas tree, so this one screams Christmas but still looks brill all year round. The brush on this is so handy, very big so it covers your whole nail in one stroke!

5. L’oreal ‘Crystalissime’ ~ First of all can I just say how gorgeously sleek this packaging is?! It looks so luxurious! This polish adds a cute twist to any colour, and is a lot more minimalist looking than any of the other polishes.

So guys, that’s all my favourite nail polishes for Winter/Christmas! What are yours?

[BEAUTY] Summer Nails Of The Day #4 – Matte Red

Hello lovelies! I hope you’re all well 🙂

I’ve been loving doing this series on my blog. I have so much nail polish and I love showing you my pick each week, with a mini review too. What’s been you’re favourite NOTD post so far?

As I’m writing this, I am in England, but as you are reading this, I shall be in Spain! I wanted to paint my nails a classic colour that would go with all my holiday outifts, and this is what I picked…

It’s a classic, simple red. It hasn’t got much else to it but it needn’t, red on your nails shows so much character. Classy, chic and feminine. This one is called ‘Double Decker Red‘ and it’s from Rimmels’ I ♥ Lasting Finish range.

As much as I love a red manicure, I wanted to up the amp with this one so I added a matte topcoat on from Bourjois. This adds so much more to the nails and gives it a refreshing, summery vibe!

I love this matte topcoat and I couldn’t reccommend getting one enough. It would save you tons of money because you can put it on top of anything. Glitter, gel, black- anything!

I definitely ♥ this manicure (cheeky pun intended), do you like it?

[BEAUTY] What’s In My Travel Make Up Bag

Hello my lovelies! As I went on holiday to Cyprus on Saturday, I had to choose what make up to bring for a week. Now, if you’ve ever been on holiday with me, you know very well that I like to over pack. Actually saying that I over pack would be an understatement.  Anyway…

I wanted to show you what make up/skincare/haircare items I decided to take with me. Of course I packed my favourite things, so you may recognise some of the products from my previous posts.

IMG_0897

Let’s start off with eyes shall we? Eye make up is the only thing I tend to over pack, as I never know what I’m going to wear. I packed three eyeliners:

* L’oreal Super Felt Tip Liner ( for when I want to create a winged eye look)

* Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal in Nude and Black (the nude one will be perfect for brightening up sore eyes from swimming etc)

IMG_0900

I chose to take some eyeshadows in neutral shades for when I want a little something extra. I took my:

* MAC Quad with Woodwinked (gorgeous gold shade) and Mulch (lovely coppery, bronze colour with purple reflects)

* Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze (a lovely metallic bronze colour, perfect for the beach or swimming, as it’s waterproof and lasts all day)

To go along with the eyeshadows I had to take with me a primer, this one is:

*Elf Eyelid Primer in Sheer

As for mascara, I had to take my favourite one which is:

*Maybelline The Rocket Volume Mascara

And I can’t go one day without my:

* Emite Make Up Eyelash Curlers

For the face, I decided to take the things that I know I’ll use everyday. I chose:

*Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

* Rimmel Stay Matte Powder (in case I get oily and to set my concealer)

*Sleek Contour Kit (for that extra glow)

*Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush (if I need a bit of colour)

As for lips, I chose 4 completely different products which are:

*L’oreal Lip Stain in Lolita (a pinky neutral colour)

*Revlon Balm Stain in Rendezvous (the on trend orange colour)

*Bourjois Effet 3D Lipgloss in Democratic Rouge (super pigmented red)

*Barry M Lipgloss in Coral (Pinky, peachy, coral colour for the beach)

IMG_0890

For skincare, I took:

*L’oreal Micellar Water

*Boots Rosweater Toner (very refreshing)

*Simple Night Cream

*Doublebase Body Moisturiser (light but super hydrating)

*Maybelline Baby Lips in Hydrate (I’m not sure about this, but I heard Niki rave about this so I trust her)

I did take lots of other skin stuff, like a body scrub and a shower gel from the Body Shop, as well as a hydrating spritz from Anatomicals

Then for haircare, I took:

*Avon Morrocan Argan Hail Oil

* Toni & Guy Classic Hair Serum

That’s everything beauty wise I’m taking with me! I took a few other things like nail polishes and shower stuff, but I forgot to photograph them, sorry!

I hope you guys liked seeing what was in my travel make up bag! What is one product that you have to take on holiday?

Beauty & Other Bits Haul!

Hey guys, today I’m back with a sneaky haul from a sneaky shopping trip that I took advantage of before going back to school. Whoops. But, I don’t regret it, so as I haven’t done a haul in a longgg time, and also a blog post, I thought I’d upload this!

And before I start, thought I’d tell you that I’m back at school now. I hope whoever has started school/work/college/uni has all had a good first day back!
So, on with the haul! First I will start with the beauty bits.
First up is my holy grail product, a product I really couldn’t live without. It’s the Boots traditional rosewater & glycerin Toner & Moisturiser. Both my mum and I adore this, so inexpensive (£2.32), so effective and incredible for dry skin. I simply purchased this as I was running out.

Next purchase is Simple Night Cream. I’ve tried this out before, from my friend essie, and I’ve got to say, I love it and it made such a difference in hydrating my skin. Being a teen, I want something good but inexpensive and still hydrating!photo 1this from Oxford Owl, whose blog you should check out!

Last bit of beauty is this Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner in Nude. This is fantastic for putting in your waterline to brighten up your eyes, and it glides on so softly and creamy!

Now onto clothing. I bought two jumpers, one from next and one from new look. The first one is very light weight, so great for summer and also great for layering. It’s a gorgeous cream velvet lace jumper that is loose and looks great.

photo 5

Then I bought a cleansing lotion from Lush, called 9 to 5, after hearing great reviews on reat with leggings. This one is from next for £8, originally £16, (thank you mum for buying this for me).
Then I got this lovely burgundy wooly knit jumper from New Look which is great for the autumn time and also winter as its nice and warm and cosy! This was £12.99.
Now onto room bits and bobs! Firstly, I purchased these lovely cream fake flowers from Dunelm Mill. So cheap, at only £1.99, and look gorg in a vase on my desk!
Then I got this heart oil burner from the same shop, also for £1.99. I just think it’s so cute and the design is lovely, matching the theme of my room well.

Lastly, I got this AWESOME Mustache thing, which you can hang things on! This was from Wilkinsons, for 3 or 4 pounds.
I think I picked up some great bargains which I love, and must say a big thank you to my mum, who helped me purchase a lot of these things.
Want another haul? Comment down below, let me know! What do you like most from my haul?? And are you obsessed with moustaches like I am?!

Rimmel’s Urban princess nail polish!-My thoughts!

Hi guys! Happy Easter to you all!
I really wanted to do an Easter themed post today, but as I am on holiday, I’m limited for time. So I decided to review the nail polish I am currently wearing, as I love it!
It’s Rimmel’s nail polish ‘Urban Princess’ from their Lycra pro range. It’s a gorgeous girly pink, and I think it will suit any skin colour! It’s not the kind of pink which little girls like to wear though, it just looks pretty and feminine.
The brush is so cool, it’s wide, and therefore you only need to do one stroke which will cover the whole nail. Two coats of it is enough to get an opaque finish. Once dried(which doesn’t take long), the nails are super smooth, no bumps or peeling bits!
The polish lasts on your nails for 2 to 3 days, which is amazing, considering its price, £3.99.
I thoroughly recommend this nail polish in this colour for anyone who wants a good, long lasting, glossy yet affordable nail polish, that looks pretty with anybody. I’m definitely going to repurchase this nail polish!
My marks out of 10-10!
Have you tried out this nail polish?? If so what did you think of it?
Thanks so much for reading! Have a lovely day,

Ps. Thank you so much for 120 followers-that’s amazing! I appreciate every single follower!
