[LIFE] Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas…

Hola guys! Today is the last day of Blogmas, I have enjoyed it so much and will definitely be dong it next year. I hope you guys have been enjoying reading them? πŸ™‚

Anyway, it’s Christmas Eve today lovelies!! I can’t believe how quickly Christmas has approached us, like I’m sure yesterday it was Summer?!

So the purpose of this post is to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I’m not sure how many people will read this as I know we are all busy and taking a break from social media for a few days (as will I) but still I wanted to thank you for supporting me and reading my blog. I hope you all eat lots and get some wonderful presents and just generally have a lovely holiday! I’ll see you in a few days with another post, but for now, Merry Christmas!
Comment how to say Merry Christmas in a different if you know how!

[FOOD] Pre-Christmas Detox Smoothie!

Hey lovelies! 3 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS! Raise your hand if you’re excited -*waves*

So we all know that this season is basically filled withΒ junk food and unhealthy eating, and to be honest there’s nothing we can do to stop that and I’m not complaining either – I am a HUGE food addict.

Nonetheless, it’s always nice to have a smoothie or a little detox before the heavy eating starts, or even after this season would be brilliant. So I conquered up a smoothie with some very unusual ingredients that you’re all bound to have in your kitchen, so no late night/early morning supermarket runs needed!

You will need:

– 1/2 an Avocado

– Honey or Sweetening syrup

– 2 handfuls of Blueberries

– 1 Banana (the riper the sweeter)

– Water or Milk

– A squeeze of Lime

The Method:

It’s quite simple, wash your ingredients and cut/peel them and chuck them all in a blender, and keep test tasting to see what your smoothie needs. Pour into a nice glass and it’s ready to drink! Yummy! So simple, so cleansing and so delicious.

Let me know if you’re going to try this smoothie! Do you have any detox recipes or any smoothie recipes?

Thanks for reading! See you in tomorrows post πŸ˜€

[BEAUTY] Christmas Make Up Edit…

Hey loves! I’ve decided I absolutely suck at daily blogging. I’ll stick to blogging less in the new year, like 3 times a week instead πŸ˜€ Sorry for missing these two days, I have been busy and I’ve now finished school for 2014!! Woo! I also went to a bloggers meet up for the first time (post coming up) and today I am going to see a pantomime, which should be good! Only 4 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!
So for today’s post, I’m going to be doing a Christmas Make Up Edit, which is filled with my favourite make up for Christmas time. I put together some of my favourite stuff so get ready to see what I’ve picked!

xmas make up edit

Of course we’ve got to have a palette so we can do any make up look we like, and Make Up Revolution’s ‘Hard Day’ is perfect for this. Only Β£6 with 18 eyeshadows, so you’re definitely winning for price!
To add that shimmer to your eyes or face, Barry M have a little pot of shimmer which you could get from any brand, but come on- you can’t go wrong with Barry M’s Dazzle Dust! This one is ’15’ and is an iridescent gold shimmer that looks gorgeous anywhere, even your body.
A Maybelline Colour Tattoo is a must, especially when it comes in this gorgeous gold glitter shade. It looks divine washed all over the lid by itself, but it could look great with a black through the crease for a New Years do. These last me forever, I’ve had this pot for a year and use it regularly, but I’m only just halfway through it! It’s in the shade ‘Eternal Gold’, but I believe they have released some new shades so I’ll be checking them out in the New Year for sure.
Lastly for eyes, I’ve got this new mascara from L’oreal called ‘So Couture’. It glides on your lashes and gives the perfect amount of length and volume. Plus, the packaging feels very chic and luxe. Review coming soon!
Nail polishes! I’ve already done a whole post on my Favourite Nail Polishes for Winter/Christmas so you should definitely read that. But the ones I picked out that are perfect for Christmas are Essie’s ‘Toggle To The Top’, Barry M’s ‘Yellow Topaz’ Glitter and Revlon’s ‘Amethyst’. Super pretty!
I’ve got a perfume that is absolutely essential for this time of year. It’s called Alien by Thierry Muggler, and it smells fantastic! So musky and feminine- I always get compliments when wearing it too! I can tell it’s going to become very popular…
Lastly I have a few lip favourites, of course! It’s inevitable that the only colours are red, I mean they make me feel so confident and look fabulous on any girl. They also go with any piece of clothing, but they are a little messy so you do need to master a few teachniques. I’d recommend using a lip brush to precisely apply colour and go around the edges with concealer once your done! If you have any tips for red lippie leave them in the comments. The ones I have is by Collection in ‘Valentine’ and a lipgloss which is insanely pigmented by Bourjois.
So that’s all my picks guys! Sorry I haven’t stuck to daily blogging, it is hard let me tell you, and I’m in awe of anyone who manages to do that.
What’s your favourite make up for Christmas? Leave links!

[BEAUTY] New Palettes…

Hello my lovelies! How are we halfway through December already?! Time flies! 2014 is nearly over… AND OF COURSE ONLY 9 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS! Woo!

So for today’s post again I’m not doing something entirely festive, because I really wanted to share with you these two palettes that I have been using a hell of a lot lately. But of course, these palettes are gorgeous and have some incredibly appropriate colours for Christmas… So even though they are both great for all year round, it’s probably a good idea to pick them up now as a pre-Christmas treat for yourself (or quickly add them to your wishlist).

I have two palettes to show you today and I’m going to give them each a mini summary so you know a little bit more about them. We have a drugstore palette – Makeup Revolution Hard Day – and a high end one, very hyped about – Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. Both are incredibly gorgeous, I can do full reviews and swatches as well as different looks using them if you want to see, but here’s some zoomed in pics and a mini review…

The Makeup Revolution Palette ‘Hard Day’ looks incredibly sleek and more expensive but retails at only Β£6 which is brilliant for a girl on a budget. This brand is so hyped about at the moment, and I can see why because all their products look very interesting and this palette is great! It has so many shades, including mattes and shimmers and is perfect for popping in your make up bag if you want a day to night look. If I’m honest with you, I actually find this palette more pigmented than the Naked 3 which is saying something! I find myself creating looks from here non-stop, and my current favourite shade is ‘I may as well just’, which is a beautiful champagne colour. However I must say the black looks utterly gorgeous because it has a gold shimmer running through it!

The Naked 3 palette is something I wanted to try for a while, and can I just say it was worth the wait because it makes me love it even more now! The packaging and design is stunning and feels like such a luxury every time I use it. The eyeshadows are soft and buttery and glide on well (however you do need primer because they need something to cling to) and they can create so many looks. My favourite way to use this palette is by running a dark pink matte colour aka ‘Nooner’ through the crease and using a glitter on the rest of the lid, like ‘Dust’. With all these glitters and ‘Blackheart’, it makes me super excited to create a party look for this season and perfect it. I’m not keen on the price on this palette, but I did some maths and worked out that each eyeshadow is worth Β£4.50 so that’s not too bad. I would definitely make sure this goes on a Christmas/future wishlist though!

So they are the palettes! Do you want to see full reviews/make up looks? Have you got any of these palettes or reviews on them?

[FOOD] The Oreo Cupcake Recipe

Happy Monday! Just kidding, I know HappyΒ should never be associated with the word Monday. I’m sorry. Anyway, for today’s post I’m going to be sharing my oreo cupcake recipe that I promised a while ago when I wrote about my Nutella Cupcake Recipe (read here). These were excellent and can I just say my buttercream was on point. Sounds cocky, but damn it was good. I am actually eating this whilst eating a red velvet cupcake hehe! I love cake, okay?! πŸ˜‰

So the Oreo Cupcakes have exactly the same cake batter as the Nutella cupcakes, so I’m going to just put that in here.

The Content:

For the cake:

– 40g Butter, room temperature

– 1 egg

– 120ml Milk

– 100g Plain Flour

– 140g Caster Sugar

– 20g Cocoa Powder

– 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder

– Oreos!

For the frosting:

– 200g Icing Sugar

– 80g Unsalted Butter

– 20ml Milk

– Packet of Oreos

The Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius and line a 12 hole cupcake tray with cupcake paper cases.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar using a whisk and gradually add in all the dry ingredients.
  3. Slowly pour in the milk, beating well until all ingredients are well mixed.
  4. Add the egg in and beat well.
  5. Before you put the batter into the cases, plonk an oreo in each cupcase for a cheeky surprise at the end!
  6. Spoon the mix into the cupcake cases and fill each one up two thirds of the way.
  7. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, or until sponge bounces back when touched.Β Leave the cupcakes to cool completely while you get on with the frosting!
  8. The frosting is simple. All you need to do is whizz together the ingredients using a hand whisk or fork and then simply crush up half of the oreos in a sandwich bag, and add these in too! Mix well and you’re ready for piping.
  9. Decoratively ice the frosting on and finish with half an oreo on each cupcake for even more yumminess!

And you are done! The perfect recipe for the most delicious oreo cupcakes. I couldn’t recommend trying this recipe enough – I’m not a massive fan on oreos but these are just divine!

Do you prefer Oreo’s or Nutella? Will you be trying this cupcakes out?

[LIFE] Christmas Room Decor…

Holaa lovelies! I hope you’re all well πŸ™‚ How slow is this week going?!

For today’s post I am going to be posting some photos of the Christmas decorations I have put up in my room. On Sunday I popped on a good Christmas playlist and did some brilliant singing (not) whilst doing a bit of DIYing and getting a little festive! We still haven’t got the big house tree up but I’m sure we will have it up soon! If you want to see some pictures and get a little inspiration for your room this Christmas, then keep reading…

My room overall looks like the picture above^ I do think it looks very pretty and feminine with a hint of festivity!

Firstly, my chair has got a new update with a little santa hat on the top! Gotta love a santa hat, right guys?! πŸ˜‰

My Christmas tree is tiny and I purchased this a couple years back for really cheap from B&Q! It’s decorated with lights and white baubles! I love it πŸ™‚

My bed has new bedding which is pink and girly, with love cushions, because Christmas is all about love and family isn’t it?!

And finally I have made a little Christmas tree on my wall out of very old photos that are very embarrassing! But I think it looks cool and I even made a little paper star to put on top! Haha, I love it πŸ™‚

That’s all my Christmas Decorations so far! I’m sure I’ll have a lot more soon… I’d love to see your Christmas Decorations, why don’t you link me up?

[LIFE] 10 Facts About Me Xmas Edition!

Hello hello my lovelies! I hope you’re all well. I can’t believe one week of December has already gone! I haven’t even decorated my house yet 😦 But hopefully I’ll do that soon! I’ve got a busy week ahead of me so I’m not sure if I will be able to blog on Monday or Tuesday because I will literally not have a minute spare. I’m sorry! But if I can get a post up, I will πŸ™‚ I’m going to have some afternoon tea today so maybe I’ll share some pics from that…

I saw this post on Amy Marshment’s blog and I absolutely loved reading it! So I thought I’d do my own spin on it, and so should you all! I love doing posts for getting to know me, and so to have a Christmas twist on it is even more exciting! Let’s get on with the post…

Hmm, this is a tricky one as I love so many! I can remember on Christmas Eve every year me and my brother would watch Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer, which I loved even those it’s very childish! However I also always watch The Snowman, Home Alone and all the Mrs Miracle’s! My all time favourite though, is The Polar Express. Words cannot describe how much I adore this film, and how excited it makes me for Christmas!

I love Costa’s Christmas drinks in particular, but my favourite drink this year is of course my Nutella Chai Latte, which I posted about yesterday.

Hmm, that’s a hard one but I think it’d have to be the Benefit They’re Mascara which my brother popped in to my Stocking last year!

I have a lot of exciting memories, but I loved when I was little and my family slept over at my cousins house on Christmas Eve and we’d have a lovely night! I do miss spending Christmas like that, but they moved to Hong Kong so that’s a shame 😦

Did you really need to ask?! Of course it’s the pudding!! I have a huge sweet tooth as I’m sure you know, so the pudding is by far the best bit. I also love Roast potatoes, sounds a bit silly but MMM they’re so good!

Ooh, I’d have to say Roses! Did someone say Strawberry Dreams..? What are your favourite chocolates from the boxes?

Currently I love the song ‘Santa Tell Me’ by Ariana Grande! It’s such a refreshing song and completely different to the others.

Apple and Cinnamon for sure! You know when you go into another house and it smells so sweet and festive of apple and cinnamon? Yum! I really want a Yankee candle that smells like that!

Of course it’s the classic red lip! You just can’t go wrong with it and I always feel very feminine and glamorous when I use a red.

I love it all, but I love shopping and giving presents to people, there’s just something really satisfying about it! I love the build up as well, it always feels so magical!

Thanks so much for reading guys! I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it! You should all do this post because I’d love to read your spin on it πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

[FOOD] DIY Nutella Chai Latte + Collab!

Hello lovelies! I hope you’re all well and having a great Saturday so far πŸ™‚

For today’s post I’m going to be sharing one of my absolute favourite recipes for this time of year! It’s a Nutella Chai Latte, and it’s so simple but oh my god, so delicious. Everyday when I walk home and I’m freezing, I feel so motivated because I know I can have this lovely warming drink. Nutella and Chai and Coffee really do not sound like they’d go together, but I can assure they 100% do!

chai latte

Before I get onto the post, I just want to tell you all that this is a collaboration post with my gorgeous blogger friend Sophie! She always looks stunning and does the best make up looks, as well as being a lovely kind person too. I love all her posts, and I’m sure you will too, so check out her blog here. She’s doing a festive biscuit recipe, which look delicious and I definitely will be trying them out. We decided that the biscuit and drink will go together perfectly, so let us know what you think about them!

You Will Need:

* Nutella or Hazelnut Spread

*Chai Latte Mix

*Small Saucepan

The Method:

1. First fill up your mug with half water and half milk.

2. Pour this into the saucepan, which is on the gas on lowheat.

3. Add in 3 tablespoons of Chai Latte and mix.

4. Add in a large teaspoon of Nutella and whisk whisk whisk!

5. Once it’s hot enough, take off the heat and pour into your pretty mug! Et Voila πŸ™‚

Absolutely delicious, I’m drinking one as I type it! You should definitely try it out! If you do, please write a post on it or tell me because I’d love to know what you think. If your a nutella or coffee addict you have to try this out.

[LIFE] Movie Out & Life Update!

Holaa lovely ones! Happy Friday πŸ˜€

Just a rambly post today, a quick catch up of my life and a reminder about the movie!

Black Sea Poster

So if you didn’t already know the movie The Black Sea starring Jude Law has come out today! A couple summer’s ago I got featured in a few of the scenes… Now I don’t know when the scene I’m in is the movie but definitely keep an eye out if you watch it! If you do watch it, please let me know what you think and if you spotted me πŸ˜‰

I’ve been awfully busy lately with tests, coursework, rehearsals and trying to manage my social life! It’s crazy how busy I’ve been for the last few months, but I’m coping (ish). On Monday I have the Pantomime performance that I’m in, so that should be exciting! I’m meeting up with people and a lot and going for a hopefully delicious afternoon tea with the fam on Sunday. I’m not really sure what the plans are for Christmas, but to be honest I love the build up for it and I can’t wait to redecorate my room Festive style and binge watch Christmas movies. I also love buying and giving presents to people.

Also, I’m looking for Work Experience in 2015 so if any of you could offer/refer me to anyone offering placements, please let me know!

Sorry for the short and rambly post, I’m back with an exciting recipe tomorrow so keep your eyes peeled!

What have you been up to lately?
