Today’s post is going to be a dramatic eye make up tutorial , and I’m using the gorgeous Katie as a model for me! Now Katie has the most amazing cheekbones, which she accentuates by applying highlighter at the top of them, and applies her blusher in upward motions, which looks stunning on her. Her eyes are big and look great with a cat eye or smokey eye so I thought I’d show you what I came up with when she let me do her make up!
I started off by using the Elf eyelid primer on her eyelids and rubbed that in. Be sure to be gentle when touching the eye area, as it is very delicate!
Next, as a base, I smoothed the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze, a much raved about colour, across her eyelids. I then used a blending brush to blend it in.
After that, I used my MUA undressed eyeshadow palette, patting shade 8 & 10 onto the outer half of her eyelid. I used a blending brush to wing the eyeshadow out, applying a little more each time to build up the darkness.
Then I curled her eyelashes and applied some mascara. She did it herself and she used the 17 Va Va Voom mascara to help volumize her lashes.
Onto face make up now! I didn’t use foundation or any coverage at all, because she didn’t need it and as our skin is still young it’s best to avoid it. Instead I focused on making her face look glowing and radiant. I used Chit Chat’s (Poundlands) highlighter which is extremely shimmery and champagne toned. I applied this on the high points of her face which is where the light naturally falls onto.
Using the Maybelline Dream Bouncy blush in Candy Coral I applied it in an upwards motion, the way she likes it.
Lastly, I used a red lipstick- L’oreal’s Colour Riche lipstick in Ferric Fuschia, which is a darkish red. Using my fingers I blended this in so it was more subtle. I then sealed her lipstick with Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me as this is a perfect red after build up, and it’s certainly wearable.
As for the outfit, this is perfect for a girly night out because it’s flowy and girly. It’s a little black dress from Tkmaxx with an Aztec style top and a sheer lace back, which is very feminine. The bottom is silk and floaty. For shoes she wore these black stilettos, which are gorgeous with gold detailing. These are from River Island.
As for hair we kept it simple by wearing it down and a middle parting.
That’s it! Do you like this look? Do you like me doing a make up look on someone else? Comment, I’d love to know!
Thanks so much for reading, I hoped you liked this make up tutorial!
Lots of love

Love what you did with the lips, the blending and sealing’s created a good effect. Did you do anything with Katie’s brows? (because they look perfect!)
