How are you?
Today I am back with another DIY for all of you beauty lovers who want to save a little money!
The sun will be shining soon, and we will all want to get out of our hoodies and fluffy socks, and lazy days at home(don’t say you haven’t had one!) and switch to more Spring/Summer appropriate clothing! Yay! But having dry, dull skin? No thanks! So today I am going to share with you a few fantastic tips + a few DIY’s (starring The Honey Sugar Scrub) so you can be prepped and ready for a glowing summer!
Exfoliating is very important to get rid of that dead, flaky, winter skin that no one wants! Here’s a DIY Scrub that I made myself and I love! I have already used up a whole pot of it! You will need:
– Brown Sugar
– Vanilla Extract
in your container/pot, take a teaspoon of olive oil with 2 spoonfuls of honey. Mix well. Then pour about 5-6 teaspoons(depending on your container) of sugar into the pot and mix well. Now test it. Scrub a little on your skin. There should be enough sugar to get rid of dead skin, but also enough honey and olive oil to moisturise your skin. When you have washed it off, there should be a layer of oil that doesn’t look greasy on your skin, but makes you look healthy and glowing instead. Once tested, add what you think it needs and then add in a few drops of vanilla extract or another extract! And your done!
So once you have got rid of your dry skin, you need to make sure you keep it soft, so by scrubbing yourself with it once or twice a week, you won’t get any flaking skin anymore.
My last tip is too moisturise. Coconut Oil is fantastic for eating, but especially great for your skin.
To make your own moisturiser that will help maintain your soft skin, just take some Pure Coconut Oil and a whisk. Put around 3 tablespoons of Coconut Oil in the container, and whisk whisk whisk! After 5 minutes, the coconut oil will start to thicken. You can keep going and then it will turn into a thick, rich body butter.
Smooth some of the moisturiser oven your freshly exfoliated skin, and you are really going to have a healthy, youthful glow-ready for the summer!
Will you try out my DIY’s? Will you be the first of your friends to have smooth, bright skin? Go on! You only need to use ingredients that you will find in your kitchen! And plus, your going to look beautiful for so much less money! Ka Ching!
